Julia Jech
Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Vancouver Washington
I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in Washington in November 2024, after spending four years as an elementary school counselor. During my time in the school setting, I had the privilege of working with hundreds of children—both one-on-one and in small groups—supporting them through challenges like anxiety, stress, trauma, grief and loss, family changes, peer conflicts, and building social skills.
I believe that every child is the expert of their own mind, and that meaningful growth in therapy starts with a strong, trusting relationship. My role is to offer a safe, supportive space where your child can explore their thoughts and feelings, reflect on their experiences, and learn new tools to cope with life’s challenges. I aim to meet each child where they are, using a combination of approaches—including solution-focused, internal family systems, play, and person-centered therapies—tailored to their individual needs.
Because children express themselves in many different ways, I often incorporate art, play, toys, and games into sessions to help them feel at ease and express their emotions in ways that feel natural and comfortable. My goal is to help your child feel seen, heard, and empowered as they grow.
